WEB: Alvarez & Areola star as Hammers edge Saints

West Ham United moved into the top four of the Premier League with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Southampton at St Mary's Stadium.

The Hammers took the lead through Julian Alvarez's ninth goal of the season in the 38th minute. Alphonse Areola then doubled their advantage with a stunning long-range strike in the 76th minute.
