Texas Hires Jim Schlossnagle as Head Baseball Coach

The University of Texas has announced the hiring of Jim Schlossnagle as its next head baseball coach. Schlossnagle comes to Austin after spending the past 12 seasons as the head coach at Texas A&M, where he led the Aggies to the Men's College World Series championship series in 2022.

A Proven Winner

Schlossnagle is one of the most successful college baseball coaches in the country. He has won over 600 games in his career and has led his teams to four College World Series appearances. He is also a two-time National Coach of the Year and has been named the SEC Coach of the Year four times.

From TCU to Texas A&M to Texas

Schlossnagle began his head coaching career at TCU in 2004, where he led the Horned Frogs to their first College World Series appearance in 35 years. He then moved to Texas A&M in 2010 and quickly turned the Aggies into a national powerhouse. Under Schlossnagle's leadership, Texas A&M won its first SEC baseball championship in 2011 and reached the College World Series four times.
